I had no idea where to start

I had a request from someone I love and could not find a pattern I liked but had no idea what to do.

So....
I pieced it...

I quilted it...
I marked it...
I took a deep breath and cut it....
I bound it....

and I shipped it....

And, I have to say, I really like it!  It makes me happy that it will be under the tree of some people very important to me!

I hope you are finding time to make things that you love for people you love!

    Didn't know where you were going with this until I saw the bottom! Love what you did with the quilt. And the pattern worked perfectly.

    Great job! I'd be holding my breath when cutting that gorgeous piece but it turned out wonderfully.

    I love it! You can use the extra pieces to make little mug rugs.

    So I'm sitting here, enjoying the beauty of your quilt... I loved all the color while staying in the red, green and beige groups. I thought how lovely it is, but wait, what is she doing? She marked and then CUT? OMG she cut that beauty? I almost screamed! They better appreciate the work you put into that skirt for a Christmas tree. I hope you put a label on it. Someone three generations from now should be screaming.

    That's just stunning. I must admit that it would not have really been my cup of tea had it been a quilt, but the transformation it took on when it was cut is just astounding. That is defintiely a tree skirt that will be cherished and enjoyed for a very long time. Just magnificent.

    Your log cabin quilt turned out gorgeous. The quilting is beautiful. And then to cut her up? Yes, it is rather nerve wracking, but turned out perfect! What a lovely tree skirt. It will be treasured for years to come!
